1989 FIELD WORK SEASON

The first season took place from the 8th of November to the 4th of December. The initial works consisted in conditioning the archaeological actuation area and the access to the site. The main aim was to document with detail the stratigraphic sequence of the western sector. We proceeded to normalize the sedimentological deposit and to create the general planimetry. The stratigraphic sequence was divided in XV provisional levels of which we excavated VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII, numbered archaeologically from I to VIII. The excavation focused on squares A2, A3 and A4, on layers of 10 cm of depth. Levels were analyzed for their posterior microfaunistic, sedimentological, palinological study, and for the obtaining of absolute dating.
